Mandy graduated from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Nursing in 2023 with a BSN-H. She currently works at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh as a registered nurse on a cardiac unit. As a healthcare worker, Mandy understands the importance of delivering culturally competent care and practicing cultural humility. She studied abroad with Pitt’s School of Nursing in May of 2022 with the Healthcare Delivery in Switzerland study abroad program. This program exposed students to the Swiss healthcare system, both its pros and cons, and specifically compared it to the U.S. healthcare system. Throughout her career, Mandy hopes to bring compassionate care across borders and advocate for those in need. For fun, Mandy enjoys hiking, hammocking with a good book, and practicing yoga. She is very excited to join SAYAC and have a platform to support future generations of global citizens!
